Competition for EU and UK R&TD grants is highly competitive.  NJM are expert in the preparation of grant proposals for R&TD funds from both the EU and UK e.g. Framework Programmes and DTI Technology Programme, respectively) and have worked throughout the UK and mainland Europe assisting SMEs, plcs, university researchers and public sector research centres to assemble project consortia and prepare successful grant applications for R&TD funds. 

More specifically, NJM assists clients to:

• Screen project concepts, develop ideas and identify grant-funding opportunities
• Research previous activity and grant awards in the relevant scientific and/or technical area
• Select the appropriate R&TD programme priority and financial instrument for the proposal
• Scope and focus the research proposal so that it fits the R&TD programme call
• Identify and engage partners with the requisite complementary expertise, capability and capacity that will enhance the bid’s prospects
• Prepare the research proposal, optimising its presentation against evaluation criteria
• Prepare consortium agreements
• Conclude satisfactory contract negotiations with the funding agency e.g. the EU Commission, DTI
• Project management and administration
• Disseminate project findings via websites, events and publications

In addition, NJM alert clients to calls for proposals, funding programme deadlines and invitations to participate in other project consortia.
